About
Katy Sawrey is a British contemporary painter, trained at Central Saint Martins, whose atmospheric landscapes and seascapes are held in private collections across the UK, USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Working primarily in acrylics, Katy builds layered, luminous paintings that explore the emotional character of light, land and water. Her work is bold in colour and considered in feeling — created for spaces where art is genuinely lived with.
Formerly based in Edinburgh, Katy exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy, held her first solo show at Gleneagles Townhouse, and collaborated with TAG Heuer on a commission for their Porsche partnership. She now paints from her studio in New Zealand, bringing a distinctly British sensibility to the raw, extraordinary landscapes of the southern hemisphere.
Her work is available through selected galleries in the UK and directly via her website, with prints shipping globally.
